An Evening of Hope & Heart
November 8, 2018 — CHS held its Believe Belong and Become: A Signature Evening of Hope & Heart fundraising event on Nov. 8, 2018 at the Bob Hope Theatre in Stockton. Author and motivational speaker Regina Louise was an inspiring keynote speaker and we were so happy she chose to share her story and deep connection to Children's Home of Stockton. Her words brought students and community members to tears as she described her journey navigating over thirty different foster care placements and what the importance of human connection can do for a child.
Thank you to all who attended and especially to our partners, the Eleanor Project and United Way of San Joaquin County for their collaboration. Thank you to all of our generous sponsors and volunteers who helped make this event possible. We were grateful to everyone who presented onstage including SJC District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar. The night wouldn't have been complete without the atmosphere which included art by Susan Bod, music by Harpist, Anna Maria Mendieta, stage decor by In Season, and photography by the talented Helen Ripken.
